Planning your move
A practical plan, at your pace.
Start with the parts you can clarify now. These steps can overlap, and your circumstances may change the order.
Clarify needs and preferences
What would you like to keep the same? What support or accessibility questions need answers? Choose who you want involved and how decisions will be discussed.Gather destination information
Ask about the actual services, room layout, meals, transportation and contracts. Confirm care suitability with the appropriate professionals rather than relying on a brochure.Understand costs and timing
Separate known dates from possibilities. Ask the provider about charges and notice, and ask qualified advisers about funding, legal and financial questions.Choose belongings to move
Measure furniture and rooms. Keep meaningful items central, work in manageable sessions and avoid rushed disposal of sentimental belongings.Plan the current home
Explore market value, preparation, occupied or vacant arrangements and possible selling costs. Gathering information is not a commitment to list.Coordinate the practical move
Confirm packing, storage, pets, accessibility and transport. Keep documents private and accessible, with medication and personal essentials handled with appropriate support. If you sell with us, you receive a $2,500 moving credit on completion.Settle in and follow up

Choose a small area to begin. Separate “keep”, “not sure” and “ready to let go”, without setting an artificial deadline for meaningful items.
Practical questions
We start by clarifying the confirmed destination and its move-in requirements, which belongings need to move right away, whether your home will stay occupied or become vacant, and who will look after access, maintenance and preparation. Then we plan the sale around your actual circumstances.
You choose. Items can be kept, given to family or friends, donated, sold, stored, or disposed of with your permission. Clearing the rest of the house is a separate service, discussed and quoted in writing if you want it.
A move into care does not automatically mean selling. We can talk through practical property questions, such as keeping the home, preparing it or selling later. Ownership, funding and personal circumstances deserve advice from the appropriate legal and financial professionals, and each owner makes their own decisions.
Yes, with your permission. You choose who is involved, and we can use telephone or video conversations, shared task lists and written updates, following the contact preferences you confirm. Being involved does not by itself give a family member authority over your property.
